PRESSURE
Linocuts on Kahary paper
Various dimensions
2022-2023
In the series PRESSURE, I present a group of works created through printmaking techniques. The title refers not only to the working process, but also playfully alludes to the multiple meanings of “pressure” in everyday life.
Using linocut as my primary medium, I aim to evoke a direct emotional resonance while opening a space for imagination.
The series explores the constant pressure we are exposed to—and often subjected to—on a daily basis. Its development has been both challenging and revealing, allowing me to reflect on the dynamics of expectation, their complexity, and how they can become a trap.
PRESSURE was realized as a printmaking project with the support of grants from the City of Biel, the Canton of Bern, and the Burgergemeinde Bern.
