PSEUDOMODERN explores the relationship between urban aesthetics, nature, and everyday perception. Drawing on the rapid changes taking place in Biel/Bienne and my hometown of Santo Domingo, the project has resulted in a series of prints and photographic works unveiling the transition from natural to artificial spaces. This dual context reveals the ongoing process of modernisation transforming both familiar landscapes and everyday perceptions.

By combining traditional printmaking techniques with digital and photographic processes, I develop a new visual language in my work, that reflects the fragility of the urban environment and the shifting nature of our perception.

The project incorporates personal observation, collective memory, and artistic experimentation to create visual worlds that poetically capture the city’s transformation.
