URBAN GARDEN

My interest in gardens began during my studies at the Faculty of Architecture. The urban garden—spaces that appear and disappear between buildings, along edges and within the cracks of the city—reveals how boundaries are constructed and dissolved.
 

The urban landscape is in constant transformation, and vegetation is often the first to disappear as construction advances. My experience of migration, and the ongoing return to my cities—my place of origin and my adopted one—has allowed me to observe these changes through both time and distance.
 

For me, gardens are microcosms that invite a different perception of space. A pause within the noise: leaves, forms, smells, and colours emerging even in unexpected places. In their apparent simplicity, they offer an aesthetic experience that is both accessible and profound.
 

URBAN GARDEN engages with this aesthetic experience through painting, drawing, and printmaking, playing with selected elements and forms of the garden.
